You may also need tooth extraction due to decay, damage, or infection. When a tooth is damaged beyond repair, extraction is likely the best course forward. In other cases, a root canal treatment or other procedures may be able to save the tooth.

Your individual experience depends mainly on the specifics of your case. Some extractions are straightforward and fast, requiring only local anesthetic. In other cases, the removal may call for a longer procedure and sedation.

Our team will provide clear instructions for aftercare during your recovery. While the complete healing process takes three to four weeks, you might experience some soreness for a few days.
During your initial recovery, you should stick to soft foods and avoid chewing near the extraction site. Most cases don’t require any prescription medication, and we can discuss the use of over-the-counter pain relievers to ease your recovery.
